Hear Thin Lizzy doing soundcheck at the Hammersmith Odeon in 1983 during their “Thunder and Lightning” Tour, featuring this amazing version of “Whiskey In The Jar” with Eric Bell on lead guitar.
“Whiskey In The Jar”origins come from a traditional folk song from the town of Edinburgh, it was rewrote in 1967 by the Irish folk band The Beasley Bothers and later covered by many artists. The Irish band The Dubliners released the song on their 1967’s Album ‘More of the Hard Stuff’ as a signature song.
