When Joe Walsh took the stage at the Ringo Starr 72nd birthday in 2012…

On July 7, 20012 , Beatles’s legend Ringo Starr celebrated his 72nd birthday on stage at the  Ryman Auditorium, in Nashville, TN, with some legendary  friends familiar to fans.
Ringo Starr and his All Starr Band was composed by Ringo himself, Steve Lukather from TOTO, Richard Page from Mr. Mister, Gregg Rolie from Journey and Santana, Mark Rivera from Billy Joel, Todd Rundgren  and  Gregg Bissonette. Other artists made appareance on stage, but one of the most exciting moments was when Joe Walsh took the stage to play his awesome hit Rocky Mountain Way.
The song was written by Walsh on later 1972 and  released for the first time in June 1973 like a track of his second studio Album “The Smoker You Drink, the Player You Get” .
Walsh played the song frequently while on tour with the Eagles, including the 1977 Hotel California Tour.
